Today in class we went over the advancement of public performance and places it was performed. It stared out with Native American performance where everyone worked together to create something very beautiful and peaceful. From there, it evolved to more advanced societies and with that came an advancement in violence. We ended with the Roman Colosseum where people were subjugated to fighting against other people as well as animals until someone died. We watched a clip from Gladitor which I did not enjoy and will never watch because it was very violent.
This box is representative of my childhood and how I sometimes wish to return to it. I included a colorful background mimicking my favorite game as a kid - candy land. On all sides, I put xerox pictuers of me reaching towards the top of the box (the sweet stuff), because that is what I miss most about being a kid. I also made 2 trees on one side because I have two trees in the front yard of my childhood home. The music I put to the background of the video is of a child laughing, because I remember laughing a lot when I was a kid playing games with my family.
