DAY 4 RECAP

Today we focused on broadway and learned about the history and future of entertainment at this point in time. Broadway was created for people who could not afford the opera but began to falter because of the popularity of television.

Vaudeville was routed in racism and used white actors in black face to perform as black people.

African Americans who performed in vaudeville began to break off and perform their own music - jazz.

XEROX

This box is representative of my childhood and how I sometimes wish to return to it. I included a colorful background mimicking my favorite game as a kid - candy land. On all sides, I put xerox pictuers of me reaching towards the top of the box (the sweet stuff), because that is what I miss most about being a kid. I also made 2 trees on one side because I have two trees in the front yard of my childhood home. The music I put to the background of the video is of a child laughing, because I remember laughing a lot when I was a kid playing games with my family.

11/18 recap

Today we learned about stimulations and asked ourselves if we believe that our world is a simulation. We watched video installation videos about virtual reality. This relates to me because my brother is really into virtual reality and studies it at his university. Nowadays, there a lot of ways that people can interact with virtual reality including headsets, glasses, and games. We related this to fake news and the future of the fact. We discussed robots and how they are being integrated into the work force. We looked at a Google Ad for the Tilt Brush.
